Micromobility lanes have been established on Sumgait Boulevard to ensure the safe and orderly movement of bicycles and scooters.
The Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA), under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, told Operative Information Center-OMM.
The new lanes are intended to regulate the movement of micromobility vehicles and create a safer environment for travel.
Previously, bicycle parking facilities were set up on Sumgait Boulevard and rental bicycles were made available. This has made micromobility options more accessible in the area.
In the next phase, the city plans to establish micromobility lanes in other areas of Sumgait and develop a network.
