A micromobility lane has opened on another section of Azadliq Avenue in Baku.
The Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA), under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, told the Operative Information Center-OMM.
The lane between Dilara Aliyeva and Khagani streets connects the lanes on 28 May, Nizami and Khagani streets from an additional direction, improving access for people using bicycles and scooters, the agency said.
When the micromobility lane was installed, lane widths on the avenue were adjusted to meet standards, while the number of traffic lanes remained unchanged.
Relevant road signs are being installed in the area. Safety barriers are expected to be put in place in the coming days.
The total length of micromobility lanes in Baku has now reached 67.8 kilometers. The network will be expanded as part of the city’s urban development concept.
