The message emphasized the bravery of those who contributed to the historic victory and conveyed best wishes for health, peace, and stability to the people of Azerbaijan.
Victory Day is an official public holiday in Azerbaijan, commemorating the 1945 defeat of Nazi Germany. Azerbaijan made a significant contribution to the war effort, with over 600,000 citizens serving in the armed forces and the city of Baku supplying more than 70 percent of the total oil production used by the Soviet military during the conflict.
