A suspect accused of defrauding citizens of 50,000 manats in the capital’s Nasimi district has been detained and handed over for investigation.
A man suspected of defrauding a person of more than 54,000 manats has been detained in Baku’s Nasimi district.
Police received a complaint from a citizen who said they had been defrauded, and officers identified and detained C. Najafov, who is suspected of committing the offense, Operative Information Center-OMM reports.
Investigators found that Najafov contacted the victim and promised to provide legal assistance to the victim’s son, then took 54,900 manats.
The investigation is ongoing.
