The death toll from an Israeli strike on a government post in the Gaza Strip has risen to four, with 30 Palestinians wounded, including six in critical condition, Gaza’s government media office said Thursday, according to Anadolu Agency.

The office said the strike hit a work post belonging to the Economy Ministry in the al-Mawasi area, west of Rafah, killing four government employees and wounding 30 others.

Medical sources told Anadolu on Wednesday that the strike on the post had killed three people and wounded 15.

The government media office called the attack “a new crime and a horrific massacre” targeting civilian public-sector employees.

It said the employees had been inspecting goods entering the Gaza Strip through the Kerem Shalom crossing to check that they were fit for use and prevent the smuggling of drugs and illegal materials.

The office said targeting government teams and civilian public employees was part of an “organized campaign by Israel to undermine government institutions and push the territory toward chaos and lawlessness.”

The attack came amid what the office described as daily Israeli violations of a ceasefire agreement that took effect on Oct. 10, 2025.

Israeli violations of the agreement have killed 1,568 Palestinians and wounded 5,648 others, the office said.

Since October 2023, Israel’s war on Gaza has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians and wounded over 175,000. The war has caused widespread destruction affecting about 90% of the enclave’s civilian infrastructure.
