Iran launched two ballistic missiles and three unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) targeting the United Arab Emirates (UAE) today, causing injuries and further escalating regional tensions.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the UAE Ministry of Defense released an official statement regarding the incident. According to the ministry, the country's air defense systems successfully intercepted and neutralized all two ballistic missiles and three drones before they could reach their primary targets. However, the ministry confirmed that three people sustained injuries as a result of the attack.

Official data indicates that since the beginning of Iranian-led strikes against the UAE, the nation's air defense units have destroyed a total of 551 ballistic missiles, 29 cruise missiles, and 2,263 unmanned aerial vehicles. To date, the total number of individuals injured as a result of these various strikes has reached 230. The UAE authorities emphasized that they remain on high alert to protect the country's sovereign territory and civilian population.

The escalation comes at a sensitive time for Middle Eastern security, as the international community continues to monitor the geopolitical friction between Tehran and its neighbors. Such incidents often prompt increased military readiness across the Persian Gulf and lead to diplomatic discussions involving global powers, including the United States. Under the administration of US President Donald Trump, the United States has historically maintained a policy of supporting regional allies against external threats to ensure the stability of global energy markets and maritime trade routes.
