Petrolul, featuring Azerbaijan national team player Jalal Huseynov, secured another win in the Romanian SuperLiga. The Ploiesti side visited UTA Arad in the 15th round and beat the hosts 1-0.
Huseynov started on the bench and came on in the 65th minute, replacing Lucio Vega.
Mario Ionita scored the only goal of the match in the 71st minute. Petrolul held on to its narrow lead to claim all three points.
The win took the Ploiesti club to 27 points and fourth place in the league table.
Context
On Nov. 1, Petrolul drew 1-1 at home against CFR Cluj in the 14th round of the Romanian SuperLiga. Huseynov came on in the 63rd minute of that match.
