Le Figaro publishes anti-Azerbaijan material almost every day, and nearly 99.9% of it is false.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and head of the Presidential Administration’s Foreign Policy Affairs Department, made the remarks at a special session titled “The language of peace and combating disinformation” held as part of the “Baku Culture and Media Dialogue Platform.”
“Western media outlets spread disinformation about individual countries and manipulate information, while Azerbaijan is a constant target. When we ask for the right of reply, there is no response—we are not given an opportunity to comment on these articles. It is extremely difficult to combat such a wave of disinformation. Many countries around the world are suffering from this problem,” he said.
