Four more Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestlers will compete at the world wrestling championship in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
Murad Ahmadiev, competing in the 97kg category, will face Austria’s Markus Ragginger in a repechage bout. Nihat Mammadli, who competes at 63kg, will meet US representative Xavier Johnson in the qualification round.
Islam Abbasov, competing at 87kg, will wrestle Turkey’s Ali Cengiz in the round of 16. Hasrat Jafarov, who competes at 67kg, has a first-round bye.
The world championship will conclude on November 1. Earlier, Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestlers Eldaniz Azizli (55kg) and Sanan Suleymanov (77kg) won gold medals.
