Farid Gayibov meets athletes who won medals at international competitions

Youth and Sports Minister Farid Gayibov met athletes who achieved strong results at international competitions last month. The event began with the national anthem at the Azerbaijan Sport Academy.

In his address, Gayibov praised the athletes’ achievements on the international stage and congratulated the athletes and their coaches. The minister said Azerbaijan’s national anthem was played in 17 countries during international competitions in October.

Azerbaijani athletes won a total of 51 gold, 43 silver and 74 bronze medals during the month.

A video highlighting achievements at international competitions was shown at the event. Representatives of several sports spoke about the competitions they had taken part in and their results.

Ramil Huseynzade, winner of the “Yukselish” competition mentored by Farid Gayibov and head of the outpatient clinic of the Ministry of Justice’s Main Medical Department, also attended the meeting. The minister wished the athletes success and victories in their upcoming competitions.
