Men’s volleyball team Khilasedici will face Portugal’s Sporting in the second qualifying round of the CEV Champions League. Head coach Jalil Jalilov said the team would try to deliver its best performance.
He said preparations had gone well. Khilasedici have played two matches in the national championship and won both. Jalilov said the team would carry that momentum into the Champions League match.
The coach said some players had minor injuries but that all of them would take to the court. He said the team had analysed its opponent and described Sporting as a strong, established club. Jalilov also noted that any result was possible in volleyball. He made the comments to Report.
The Khilasedici-Sporting match will start at 18:00 today at the Ministry of Emergency Situations’ sports hall. The return leg will be played on November 11.
