Dambrauskas says he is proud of Sabah players after Borussia defeat

Sabah head coach Valdas Dambrauskas commented on his team’s performance after its match against Borussia in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League. He said at a news conference that he was proud of his players.

Dambrauskas stressed that the opposition had a squad of high-quality players. He said his team created good scoring chances and performed well in attack during the match, but could not secure the result it wanted at the end.

“Sometimes you can play good football, but a lot depends on the strength of the opposition. Unfortunately, we could not manage it in the end. I am proud of my players. They put on a very good performance,” the head coach said.

The match between Sabah and Borussia ended in a 2-1 win for the German side.
