Azerbaijani boxers win 25 medals at European championships

Azerbaijani boxers have won a total of 25 medals at European championships held in 2026. The national teams claimed five gold, eight silver and 12 bronze medals at four continental events.

The U-15 team posted the best medal tally, with Azerbaijani boxers reaching the podium 10 times at the European Championships in Trabzon.

The U-17 team finished the continental championships with eight medals. The senior national team set a record by winning five medals at the European Championships. Two members of each team won gold. The U-19 team finished the competition with two medals.

Azerbaijani boxers have therefore won medals at all four European championships they have entered this year. The national teams ranked among the top six by medal count at three of the events. They will also compete at the U-23 European Championships, scheduled for November.
