Foggy weather has reduced visibility in several parts of Azerbaijan, including the Absheron Peninsula.
The Main State Traffic Police Department has appealed to road users, Operative Information Center-OMM reports.
The department said fog, particularly in the morning and evening, significantly reduces drivers’ visibility and can lead to serious road accidents, including chain-reaction collisions:
“Drivers are therefore advised to exercise greater caution in such conditions, choose a speed appropriate to the weather, maintain a greater following distance, ensure their exterior lights are working properly, and strictly observe safety rules when overtaking or manoeuvring.
“We ask pedestrians to act responsibly when entering the road, bearing in mind that fog makes it difficult for drivers to see the carriageway and its edges clearly.”
