Azerbaijan finished the week 24th in UEFA’s country coefficient rankings. Results from the third round of the Europa League confirmed that the country would remain ahead of its nearest challenger, Israel.
According to UEFA’s official data, Azerbaijan has a total coefficient of 24.187. Israel is 25th with 24.125, leaving a gap of 0.062 points between the two countries.
Ukraine is one place ahead of Azerbaijan with 24.837 points, a lead of 0.650. England tops the rankings with 106.463 points.
Clubs’ season tally
Azerbaijani clubs have collected a total of 5.625 points in the 2026/2027 season. These points are added to the country’s combined total over the past five seasons.
Sabah are currently the only Azerbaijani team still competing in European club tournaments. The Baku club hosted Borussia Dortmund in the third round of the Champions League league phase and lost 2-1.
Sabah will play their next match away against Viking. The game will kick off at 23:59 on November 5.
