In 2025, Azerbaijan saw the active operation of nine industrial parks and six industrial districts, where 179 residents and non-residents were registered, and 103 enterprises commenced production activities.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Prime Minister Ali Asadov announced these figures during a plenary session of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) while presenting the summary report on the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers for 2025.
"Last year, products worth 3.3 billion manats were manufactured in the industrial zones, of which products valued at 1.2 billion manats were exported," the Prime Minister noted during his address to the parliament.
The development of industrial zones is a key component of Azerbaijan's economic diversification strategy, aimed at reducing dependence on the oil and gas sector. These zones provide favorable conditions for entrepreneurs, including tax and customs exemptions, as well as ready-to-use infrastructure. By fostering local production and increasing export potential, the government continues to strengthen the national economy and create new employment opportunities across the Republic of Azerbaijan.
