The leadership of the Ministry of Defense has inspected new military facilities commissioned for the use of Air Defense (AD) units. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Ministry of Defense released an official statement regarding the development.
The leadership was briefed that nearly 20 newly commissioned military infrastructure facilities across various regions of Azerbaijan have been equipped to provide optimal conditions for the service and combat activities of personnel.
The facilities include canteens, kitchens, medical stations, dormitories, armories, utility rooms, sanitary facilities, boiler houses, and water supply complexes. To ensure operational continuity, the sites are equipped with power generators. The buildings are fully integrated with utility systems, communication lines, and fire alarm systems. Furthermore, the infrastructure has been furnished with modern equipment and furniture to meet all necessary requirements.
Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov issued specific instructions to the Air Combat Command regarding the continuous protection of Azerbaijan's airspace. He emphasized the importance of mastering the tactical and technical characteristics of modern weapons and equipment recently added to the arsenal, particularly during training exercises, to ensure their effective application in combat scenarios.
The modernization of military infrastructure is a key component of Azerbaijan's ongoing defense reform strategy. By upgrading living and operational conditions for personnel, the Ministry of Defense aims to enhance the combat readiness and morale of the armed forces, ensuring they are well-prepared to safeguard the nation's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
