Azerbaijan finishes third in world judo championships medal table

The individual events at the world judo championships in Baku have concluded, with Azerbaijan finishing third in the medal table.

Azerbaijani judokas won seven medals in total: one gold, two silver and four bronze.

Japan topped the medal table with seven gold, two silver and three bronze medals. Georgia placed second with two gold, one silver and one bronze.

Spain and the United Arab Emirates rounded out the top five. Spain won one gold, two silver and one bronze, while the UAE finished with one gold and one silver.
