All bus terminals and stations operating in Azerbaijan will work on an enhanced schedule from Nov. 6 to 10 to provide the public with reliable and continuous transport services during the Nov. 8 Victory Day and Nov. 9 State Flag Day holidays.
The Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA), under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, told “Operative Information Center-OMM”.
According to the information, AYNA has instructed all bus terminals and stations to ensure continuous and safe services by carriers operating intercity and interdistrict routes, sell tickets at ticket offices in accordance with approved fares and legal requirements, prevent possible passenger congestion, and strictly adhere to approved bus schedules.
At the Baku International Bus Terminal Complex, authorities will closely monitor bus intervals on routes in line with passenger flows during the holidays, as well as drivers’ compliance with passenger transport safety rules.
Additional buses will be deployed as needed to prevent overcrowding.
Passengers can buy tickets at bus terminal ticket offices or online through the “biletim.az” portal. Tickets are available for 97 routes serving 61 destinations on the portal. A total of 426 vehicles operating 379 trips are connected to the system.
Passengers are advised to buy tickets online through “biletim.az” for a more convenient and safe journey.
Numerous updates and added features in the application have made the ticket-purchasing process faster and easier.
