Armenia is set to construct a new building for its embassy in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. The decision regarding the construction of the diplomatic mission was officially approved during a meeting of the Armenian Cabinet of Ministers.

According to reports from the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Armenian media outlets, the project is estimated to cost approximately $1.5 million. Upon completion of the construction work, the facility will be officially transferred to the ownership of the Republic of Armenia.

The move comes as part of efforts to strengthen diplomatic ties between Yerevan and Astana. Kazakhstan and Armenia maintain relations within several regional frameworks, including the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The establishment of a dedicated, state-owned embassy building signifies a long-term commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation in political, economic, and cultural spheres between the two nations.
