Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in New York.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
During the meeting, Pashinyan said Armenia-Iran cooperation was developing successfully and that joint programs were being implemented in various fields.
The sides discussed bilateral trade and economic ties, as well as steps aimed at expanding them.
They emphasized the importance of ensuring peace and stability in the region and exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
The UN General Assembly brings together representatives of member states each year to discuss international political, economic and security issues. Meetings on the sidelines of the session are commonly used by leaders to address bilateral relations and regional developments.
