About 4,000 members of the Sinjar Resistance Units are to be incorporated into Iraq’s Interior Ministry and the Popular Mobilization Forces, an Iraqi security official told Anadolu Agency.
About 4,000 members of the Sinjar Resistance Units (YBS), an offshoot of the PKK in Iraq’s Sinjar region, will join the Iraqi Interior Ministry and the Popular Mobilization Forces (Hashd al-Shaabi), an Iraqi security official told Anadolu Agency on Monday.
Lieutenant General Saad Maan, head of the Iraqi government’s Security Media Network, said the members to be integrated into the two institutions include women.
