Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said strikes on an oil refinery and a military airfield in Russia were successful overnight.
"Operative Information Center-OMM" reports that he made the statement on his Telegram channel.
“This night, a joint operation by the Security Service of Ukraine, the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Main Intelligence Directorate and the Foreign Intelligence Service targeted the Yaroslavl oil refinery,” he said.
Zelensky confirmed that the strike on a military airfield in Rostov destroyed one An-12 aircraft, two An-26 aircraft and three helicopters.
The Ukrainian president also said that “good results” had been achieved in the Black Sea.
“We respond to the aggression every day. Russia must choose peace,” the Ukrainian president emphasized.
The reported strikes come amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, in which both sides have regularly reported attacks on military and energy infrastructure. Independent verification of the claimed damage was not immediately available.
