US-based athlete of Azerbaijani origin Vusala Bentley has posted a result that could set a women’s plank world record. She held the plank position continuously for 5 hours and 3 minutes.

Bentley, who is originally from Khachmaz, achieved the result on October 24 at an event in Mankato, Minnesota, Shimal.news.az reported.

The initiative also had a charitable purpose. More than $15,000 was raised for a local charity during the event. Bentley told local media that her aim was to support the community rather than simply achieve a personal milestone.

Guinness World Records has not yet officially verified the result. Bentley has applied to have the record recognized, and the verification process is expected to take several months. She plans to continue the charitable initiative by holding a plank for at least one hour in each of the 50 US states.
