Washington strengthens military presence in the region amid rising tensions with Iran

The United States Department of Defense has deployed F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jets to the Middle East as part of a strategic move to bolster its military presence in the region. According to reports from Operative Information Center-OMM, citing sources from The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), the aircraft arrived at an airbase in Jordan on Sunday.

The deployment comes as US President Donald Trump continues to evaluate potential military strike options against Iran, leading to an increase in the concentration of forces within the regional theater. In addition to the fighter jets, Washington is expected to deliver supplementary air defense systems to the area. Official sources in Washington emphasize that these measures are necessary to deter and prevent potential retaliatory strikes from Tehran.

The current escalation follows a period of significant internal unrest in Iran that began in late December, with the leadership in Tehran accusing the United States and Israel of attempting to destabilize the country. US President Donald Trump has issued warnings that the administration is seriously considering the use of force against the Islamic Republic to maintain regional stability and protect national interests. The F-15E Strike Eagle, a dual-role fighter designed for long-range interdiction and air superiority, serves as a key component of the US Air Force's rapid response capability in high-tension zones.
