The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Air Force has conducted its first direct airstrikes against targets within Iran, marking a significant escalation in regional tensions.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Israel's Ynet news agency, the military operation specifically targeted a water desalination plant located in Iran. UAE officials stated that the strike serves as an "initial signal" to the Iranian regime, warning that the Emirates is prepared to officially join the military campaign initiated by US President Donald Trump and Israel if Tehran's regional provocations continue to intensify.

The strikes follow recent claims by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) regarding attacks on targets in Haifa, Israel, as well as the Marina Hotel in Dubai and locations in Bahrain. Although Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian reportedly offered apologies to the Gulf nations for the damages incurred, the continued aggression from Iran's military wing suggests a deepening rift within the Tehran administration between its diplomatic and military leadership.

This unprecedented military action by the UAE reflects the shifting geopolitical landscape in the Middle East, characterized by strengthening defense ties between Gulf Arab states, Israel, and the United States. The involvement of the UAE in direct kinetic operations against Iranian soil underscores a transition from diplomatic deterrence to active military engagement. Observers note that such developments are increasingly aligned with the regional security framework supported by the administration of US President Donald Trump, aimed at curbing the influence of the IRGC and ensuring maritime and territorial stability in the Persian Gulf.
