Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan meets with Azerbaijani ambassador

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has held a meeting with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Turkey, Rashad Mammadov.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the meeting, noting that the discussions centered on the strengthening of strategic partnership and current regional developments.

Turkey and Azerbaijan maintain a unique relationship often described by the slogan "one nation, two states." This alliance is anchored by the Shusha Declaration, which elevated bilateral ties to the level of a formal strategic alliance. Frequent diplomatic consultations between Ankara and Baku are essential for coordinating policies on regional security, energy transit projects, and post-conflict reconstruction efforts in the Garabagh region.
