Silva said the match had been difficult. The team defended well and repeatedly launched counterattacks, he said.
“I am proud of this team and proud of what we did today,” Silva said.
Asked about Turan Tovuz’s second consecutive win and its earlier victory over Sabah, Silva stressed the importance of beating such opponents.
“Wins against teams like these are very important to us because we also want to prove that we belong among the best teams. That is very important to us,” he said.

Asked about the team’s chances of joining the title race, Silva said they approach every match and every day with determination to compete. He said they would see what they could achieve at the end of the season.
