US President Donald Trump has warned Canada’s Bombardier aircraft manufacturer.

Trump called on Bombardier to relocate its manufacturing facilities to the United States, warning that otherwise the company’s aircraft sales in the US market could be blocked.
Trump said sales of Bombardier aircraft in the United States would be halted.
“If they want our market, they have to manufacture here and stop turning America into a cash register,” he said.
Trump also accused Canada of imposing market restrictions on US banks and companies and urged Americans to “buy American products and fly on American aircraft.”
The US president issued the threat ahead of Canada’s decision to impose $20 billion in retaliatory tariffs on US-origin products, as a trade war between the two countries deepens.
Montreal-based Bombardier said in a statement that it directly employs 3,500 people in the United States and supports tens of thousands of additional indirect jobs in the American economy.
The company said production is carried out at facilities in Canada, the United States and Mexico, emphasizing that its existing operations fully comply with the requirements of the CUSMA (USMCA) free trade agreement.
