Traffic congestion has been observed on several major thoroughfares in Baku, impacting commuter travel times across the capital city.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has released an official update regarding the current traffic situation.
As of the latest report, heavy traffic is being observed in the following areas:
- The Baku-Sumgait highway, in the direction of the "20 Yanvar" metro station;
- The 1st Lake Side Road, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
- Ali Mustafayev Street, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue.
The Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) continuously monitors the road network in Baku using advanced surveillance and traffic control systems. These systems are designed to optimize traffic flow, reduce congestion, and enhance road safety throughout the Republic of Azerbaijan. Drivers are advised to plan their routes in advance and consider alternative roads to avoid delays during peak hours.
