Two suspects detained over fatal mass brawl in Baku

New details have emerged about a mass brawl in Baku that ended in a death.

“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that the suspected perpetrators have been identified as Emin Rahimov, known by the nickname “Sabunchu Emin,” and MMA fighter Elmar Jafarov.

The two men, who fled the scene and went into hiding, were identified and detained in search operations conducted by the State Security Service.

The victim, named Jeyhun, was reportedly known in his circle as “Jeyhun Sabunchu.”
The meeting in the area where the incident occurred was reportedly arranged by Ahmad, the son of MP Arzukhhan Alizada.

Nine people, including the MP’s son, have faced legal action over various alleged offenses. Jafarov and Rahimov were detained on suspicion of intentional murder. (Qafqazinfo)
