Strong winds are expected in Baku, the Absheron Peninsula and some regions on November 8-9.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that the National Hydrometeorological Service has issued yellow and orange warnings for the expected windy conditions.
Westerly winds are forecast under an orange warning in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, as well as in Mingachevir, Naftalan, Neftchala, Hajigabul, Gobustan, Gusar, Khizi, Goranboy, Dashkasan and Aghstafa. Wind speeds are expected to reach 20.8-28.4 m/s.
Under a yellow warning, westerly winds are forecast in Kalbajar, Lachin, Jabrayil, Zangilan, Guba, Khachmaz, Shabran, Siyazan, Shamakhi, Salyan, Gabala, Ismayilli, Bilasuvar, Jalilabad, Lerik, Yardimli, Gazakh, Tovuz, Shamkir, Ganja, Samukh, Goygol, Gadabay, Shirvan, Yevlakh, Tartar, Aghdam and Barda. Wind speeds are expected to reach 13.9-20.7 m/s.
