Socially oriented expenditures will account for 39.5% of Azerbaijan's state budget in 2025, totaling 15.3 billion manats, as the government continues its focus on enhancing public welfare.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Prime Minister Ali Asadov made this announcement during a plenary session of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) while presenting the Cabinet of Ministers' review report on activities for 2025.

According to the Prime Minister, the projected social spending represents an increase of 601.5 million manats, or 4.1%, compared to the 2024 budget. "Over the last seven years, five social reform packages covering 4 million people have been implemented, with approximately 8 billion manats allocated for these purposes. Last year alone, 1.4 billion manats in budget funds were spent on these initiatives. Salaries, pensions, and benefits are regularly increased, and pensions are indexed," Prime Minister Ali Asadov added.

The 2025 state budget of Azerbaijan reflects the country's long-term strategy to balance economic development with social security. By prioritizing the social sector, the government aims to mitigate the impact of global economic fluctuations on the domestic population. These budgetary allocations typically cover healthcare, education, social protection, and various state-funded programs designed to improve the living standards of citizens across the Republic of Azerbaijan.
