Saudi-led coalition to warn civilians to evacuate Sanaa ahead of operation

The Saudi-led coalition supporting Yemen’s internationally recognised government said Tuesday it would soon issue an evacuation warning to civilians in the Houthi-held capital, Sanaa, ahead of a planned military operation.

Coalition spokesman Turki al-Maliki said in a statement on “X” that civilians would be instructed to evacuate to allow the coalition to carry out a “precision operation”.

He did not identify the location or provide further details about the operation’s nature or timing.

The announcement comes amid renewed tensions between the coalition and Yemen’s Houthi group.
