Saudi-led coalition forces carried out a military operation against the Houthis in Yemen’s Red Sea province of Hodeidah on Monday, the coalition said.
Coalition spokesman Turki al-Maliki said on “X” that the operation destroyed weapons depots, storage facilities for explosive-laden boats and naval mines.
The coalition also said it had thwarted a plan for imminent attacks on waterways in the southern Red Sea.
Yemen has been gripped by conflict since the Houthis seized the capital, Sanaa, and several provinces in 2014. A Saudi-led coalition intervened in 2015 in support of the internationally recognized government.
A truce agreed in 2022 collapsed in July, and fighting has since intensified.
