Public order was seriously disrupted amid attempts to obstruct the implementation of rules on uniform clothing at public general education institutions, established by a relevant decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) told the Operative Information Center-OMM that a group of people in Baku created confrontations with school staff over the uniform rules, damaged public education institutions and attempted to disrupt public order, obstruct traffic and interfere with the normal operation of a school.
A criminal case has been opened by the relevant investigative bodies of the MIA under Article 233 of the Criminal Code, which covers organizing or actively participating in actions that lead to a breach of public order. Thirty-seven people have been arrested.
The main purpose of the measures is to ensure compliance with legislation, prevent breaches of public order, obstruction of traffic and disruption to the normal operation of educational institutions, and protect the safety of students, teachers and other citizens.
Citizens must comply with legal requirements and must not violate public order, harm the rights and interests of others or disobey the lawful demands of police officers.
