Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defense issued separate emergency warnings on Thursday for Riyadh, Al-Kharj governorate and the southern city of Najran, urging residents to follow safety instructions, Anadolu Agency reported.
In statements on the social media platform “X”, the agency said it had issued the alerts through the National Early Warning Platform to warn residents of potential danger.
The warnings did not specify the nature of the threats or provide further details.
Al-Kharj is southeast of Riyadh, while Najran is in southern Saudi Arabia, near the border with Yemen.
The alerts come amid heightened regional tensions and continuing missile and drone threats linked to the war in neighboring Yemen.
