Russia has struck a foreign merchant vessel in the Black Sea.
According to the "Operative Information Center-OMM", citing “UNIAN“, the vessel, which was sailing under the Tanzanian flag, was targeted by a drone.
The vessel was heading toward a Ukrainian port when the attack occurred, according to the report.
The ship’s captain was killed in the attack, while three other crew members were injured.
Attacks affecting commercial shipping in the Black Sea have raised concerns over the safety of maritime routes and the risks faced by civilian vessels operating in the region. International maritime traffic remains vital to the movement of cargo through Black Sea ports.
