Long-range strikes between Russia and Ukraine continued. According to local officials, Russian airstrikes on several Ukrainian regions on Saturday killed at least 10 people and wounded dozens.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia had launched nearly 500 drones at Ukraine since the beginning of Saturday. He said residential areas, business facilities and infrastructure were among the targets.
Russia said its forces had struck industrial and port facilities in Ukraine. Facilities in the Zaporizhzhia and Odesa regions were also reportedly targeted.
Ukraine said strikes had hit industrial infrastructure in Russia’s Samara region. Moldova’s airspace was closed for about an hour because of the drone threat, while operations at seven border crossing points were temporarily suspended.
Russian officials said three people were killed on Saturday in Ukrainian drone attacks on areas of Ukraine under Russian control.
The latest strikes came amid continued attacks involving drones and long-range weapons, with both sides regularly reporting damage to infrastructure and civilian areas. Independent verification of the battlefield claims remains difficult.
