Russia and Ukraine exchanged overnight strikes on Thursday, leaving five people injured, officials on both sides said, according to Anadolu Agency.
In Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region, three people were injured in a Russian drone attack on Dnipro and Samar, regional military administration head Oleksandr Hanzha said on Telegram. The strikes damaged private homes and sparked fires at critical infrastructure facilities.
One person was injured in a Russian attack on logistics infrastructure in the Kyiv region, Ukraine’s emergency service said on Telegram. The attack set the facility on fire.
Ukraine’s General Staff separately accused Russia of launching two missiles and 128 drones, saying 105 of the drones were shot down or neutralized.
In Russia’s Ryazan region, one person was injured in what Governor Pavel Malkov described as a “massive” drone attack. Falling debris caused fires at industrial sites in Ryazan, he said on Telegram.
Power lines were also damaged, disrupting electricity supplies in parts of the city. Windows at a school were shattered, prompting the cancellation of classes, Malkov said.
Private homes were damaged in the Ryazan district, while a nonresidential building in a residential area of the Rybnovsky district caught fire, he added.
Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed that 496 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones were intercepted or destroyed over Russian territory, Crimea, the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea.
The claims could not be independently verified amid the ongoing war.
