At least two people have been killed after a rock formation collapsed at the Göreme Open Air Museum in Turkey’s historical region of Cappadocia, local media reported, according to the BBC.
One of the formations, known as “fairy chimneys”, reportedly collapsed at the popular tourist site.
Ambulances and rescue teams have been sent to the area, where a search and rescue operation is under way.
The cause of Thursday’s incident was not immediately known.
