Qarabag have gone three consecutive Misli Premier League matches without scoring. The team coached by Gurban Gurbanov have failed to score in three straight games for the first time in 15 seasons.
After goalless draws with Sabah and Gabala, the Aghdam club lost 1-0 to Turan Tovuz in the 11th round.
Qarabag last failed to score in three consecutive matches in the 2011/2012 season. After beating Kapaz 2-1 away on Aug. 21, 2011, the team went without a goal in three matches before defeating AZAL 3-1 on Sept. 24. During that run, the Aghdam club lost 1-0 at home to Gabala on Aug. 27 and 1-0 to Khazar Lankaran on Sept. 17, and drew 0-0 with Sumgayit in Sumgayit on Sept. 11.
Qarabag’s longest scoreless run in the Azerbaijan championships is four matches, a record set twice. One more game without scoring would see the club equal that unwanted record.
The team have also failed to win four consecutive games for the first time in 11 seasons. Qarabag last had such a run in the 2015/2016 season.
