PSG beat Troyes 1-0 in the 10th round of France’s Ligue 1. Ilya Zabarni, a defender, scored the only goal in the 39th minute of the match, played on November 8 Baku time. The game kicked off at 11:05 p.m. Moscow time on November 7.
The win was the Paris club’s 11th in a row in all competitions. Head coach Luis Enrique commented on the result after the match.
“Eleven consecutive wins is excellent. But what is especially important is that we won every match between the two breaks for international fixtures. This is the first time that has happened. As is often the case in games against teams in a difficult position in the standings, this was also a complicated match. I think we created more scoring chances than usual and tried to score as many goals as possible, but the opposition defended very well,” Enrique said in remarks published on the club’s official website.
The coach said he was particularly pleased to win a match like this and congratulated the fans. He said every victory at the Parc des Princes was a special occasion. Enrique also said he hoped to spend many more years with the club.
