PSG head coach Luis Enrique praised Achraf Hakimi’s performance in the Ligue 1 ninth-round match against Le Havre. The Moroccan scored a hat-trick and provided two assists.
Enrique said Hakimi is the team’s captain and that his strengths are well known. The coach said the player is more like an attacker: he plays in an advanced position, makes fast runs and can deliver decisive passes.
“When we have the ball, he clearly plays as an attacking player. When we don’t have the ball, everyone becomes a defender. He is the best right-back in the world, but I’m not that impressed by his scoring three goals. What matters more to me is that he consistently performs at the highest level and is always ready to play. That is very important for our team,” Enrique told L’Équipe.
