On July 31, a formal award ceremony was held for the presidents of Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan. As reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, the event highlighted the deepening ties between the two nations.
During the ceremony, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov emphasized the significance of the bilateral relationship, stating: "Modern Azerbaijan is a strong and influential state playing an important role in regional and international processes. Thanks to your support and constant efforts to bring our countries closer, we have achieved true strategic partnership relations based on solid friendship and mutual trust."
President Japarov further noted that the relationship has evolved into an alliance, with President Ilham Aliyev playing a pivotal role in connecting Central Asia and the South Caucasus. In recognition of these contributions, President Japarov awarded President Ilham Aliyev the "Manas" Order, the highest state award of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Following the presentation of the "Manas" Order, President Ilham Aliyev expressed his gratitude, noting that the relationship between the two countries has reached the level of strategic alliance. "Our friendly and brotherly relations are an important factor in the successful development of our countries today," President Aliyev stated.
In turn, President Ilham Aliyev awarded President Sadyr Japarov the "Heydar Aliyev" Order, the highest state award of Azerbaijan, in recognition of his special contributions to the development of friendly and fraternal relations between the two nations. President Aliyev praised the rapid development of Kyrgyzstan under President Japarov's leadership, highlighting the visible progress in economic and social spheres.
The exchange of these high-level state honors underscores the deepening strategic alliance between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan. Both nations have actively worked to strengthen cooperation in trade, energy, and transportation sectors, particularly within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States. This ceremony serves as a diplomatic milestone, reflecting the shared commitment of Baku and Bishkek to long-term regional stability and mutual prosperity.
