US President Donald Trump announced on Friday that Stephen Miller, his deputy chief of staff, will replace Susie Wiles as chief of staff, according to BBC.
In a post on “Truth Social”, Trump said Wiles had done an “outstanding job” and would move to the “Trump Political Operation”.
The announcement follows a series of major Republican defeats in the 2026 midterm elections, including the loss of control of both chambers of Congress.
Miller, known for his hard-line stance on immigration, has been a loyal ally of Trump and served as a senior adviser during the president’s first administration. Trump said Miller would take up the new role on Monday.
