People’s Artist Zaur Rzayev was discharged home late on Sept. 11 from the Central Oil Workers Hospital, where he had been receiving treatment.
The hospital provided the information to Operative Information Center-OMM.
Rzayev was hospitalized in the admissions department of the Central Oil Workers Hospital at around 8:50 p.m. on Sept. 5, 2026. The hospital said he was diagnosed with decompensated liver cirrhosis, ascites and hepatic encephalopathy, and received the necessary medical care.
Liver cirrhosis is a chronic condition in which healthy liver tissue is replaced by scar tissue, while ascites refers to an accumulation of fluid in the abdominal cavity. Hepatic encephalopathy may affect brain function when the liver cannot adequately remove toxins from the blood.
