French President Emmanuel Macron held a phone call with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that foreign media outlets have published the information.

During the call, Macron expressed France’s full support for Kyiv.

“I have just spoken with Zelensky and reaffirmed France’s solidarity and full support for Ukraine. Although Russia is at a stalemate on the front line, it continues to reject all calls for a ceasefire. By intensifying strikes on infrastructure and civilian targets, it is making an irresponsible choice and violating the most fundamental principles of international humanitarian law,” Macron said.

The French president said France and Europe would continue their role in supporting Ukraine, protecting civilians, reducing the intensity of the fighting and promoting the idea of a just and lasting peace that respects Ukraine’s rights.

He also stressed the importance of strengthening Europe’s security:

“During our conversation, Zelensky and I discussed the concrete support we can provide Ukraine in countering unmanned aerial vehicles and deterring Russian aggression. We will not yield to Russia’s policy of threats and escalation. Russia should not be mistaken: time is working against it.”
