At least 11 people have been killed and 32 others injured following airstrikes conducted by the Israeli Air Force on Lebanon's capital, Beirut, and its surrounding residential areas.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that according to official data released by the Lebanese Ministry of Health, the bombardments carried out on Thursday morning resulted in significant casualties and widespread damage.

The attacks primarily targeted Beirut and its outskirts. The injured were immediately evacuated to nearby hospitals for urgent medical treatment. Local reports indicate that civilian infrastructure in the affected regions has sustained severe damage.

Rescue operations are currently ongoing at the sites of the strikes, and officials have not ruled out the possibility of the death toll rising as search efforts continue.

The escalation comes amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing military confrontations along the border. Lebanon has faced increasing instability over the past months as cross-border fire between the Israeli military and armed groups has intensified, leading to significant displacement of civilians on both sides. International organizations have repeatedly called for a ceasefire to prevent a full-scale humanitarian crisis in the region.
