The Iranian Armed Forces have issued an official statement through state media, asserting that they did not launch any missiles toward Turkish territory and emphasizing their commitment to the sovereignty of the neighboring country.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Tehran leadership noted that military activities in the region were not targeted at Turkey.

However, the Turkish Ministry of National Defense shared conflicting information regarding the incident. According to the ministry's statement, a ballistic munition launched from Iran and heading toward Turkish airspace was successfully neutralized. It was reported that the missile in question was detected and destroyed in a timely manner by NATO air and missile defense systems located in the Eastern Mediterranean after passing over Syria and Iraq.

The Turkish Ministry of National Defense further emphasized that all resources have been mobilized to ensure the safety of the country and its citizens, regardless of the source or origin of the threat. Official Ankara has called on all parties to refrain from steps that could lead to an escalation of the conflict and stated that consultations with NATO allies will continue in this direction.

This incident occurs amid heightened regional instability and complex security dynamics involving multiple state and non-state actors across the Middle East. Turkey, a key NATO member, maintains a robust integrated air defense network and has frequently called for regional de-escalation to prevent the spillover of neighboring conflicts into its sovereign territory. The diplomatic and military coordination between Ankara and its Western allies remains a cornerstone of the region's security architecture during such periods of high tension.
